Guest and user: what you get
The configurator opens and works without signing up. The line between a guest and a registered user runs through one thing: anything that has to be stored somewhere needs an account. Building a wall, styling it, patching it and exporting a file all work without logging in.

What that means in practice
A guest gets the full editor, not a cut-down demo: the same resolutions, mass and power draw are computed, the same layers work, the same patching and the same export. The limits are not on the work but on storing and sharing it.
A guest's work lives only in the browser tab. There is an autosave — it survives a reload and a tab closed by accident — but it is crash recovery, not a saved project: clear the site data or open another browser and the work is gone.
What logging in adds
- Projects — saved on the server and opened from any device; see "Projects".
- Your own catalog — instead of the shared demo set: your cabinet and card models with their own specs and photos, see "Equipment catalog".
- Custom Library — the shapes you assemble are saved and reused, see "Custom Library".
- Public links — show a project to a client who does not sign up at all, see "Public links".
- Personal settings — layers, the author profile and the defaults, see "Your account".
How much you can keep
Every collection has a cap — how many projects, models and links you may hold. Current usage is shown in your account, in the "Account" section. A guest has no use for these caps: there is nothing to store.
Creating an account
Signing up, verifying your email and resetting a password are covered in "Accounts and guest access". You can start right now — open the editor; logging in can wait.
