The mobile version: how it works
On a phone or tablet WALL//CONFIG shows the same project and the same data as on a computer — only the navigation changes. The two side columns that stay visible on a wide screen turn into slide-up panels, and a row of three buttons appears at the bottom to open them.
Three buttons at the bottom
The bottom row is the core of the mobile version. It is always visible and never moves: whatever you are doing, the panels open from here.

| Button | What it opens |
|---|---|
| Add | The add-screen form — the same one that lives in the left column on a computer. |
| Menu | The logo, your account, About, Telegram, the project name and the New / Save / Open / Export buttons. |
| Settings | The selected screen: name, colour, pattern, coordinates. With nothing selected — the project panel. |
The labels follow the mode: in patching the left one reads "Card", in CUSTOM mode "Cabinet", in export "Formats", and the right one becomes "Export" there. The row always says what it is about to open.
Tapping the same button again closes the panel. So does a tap on the dimmed area above it — the canvas underneath stays exactly as it was, nothing is reset.
The panel opens on its own when it should
The button row is not the only way. A panel slides up by itself the moment you do something whose result lives inside it:
- you picked a screen on the canvas — the "Settings" button shows its parameters;
- you pressed "Add screen" in the form — the panel closes itself so you can see the result on the canvas;
- you chose a format in export — the panel gets out of the way, because every format previews itself in the work area;
- in the account you tapped a project or equipment card — the "Details" panel opens with its form.
There is one reason for this: on a phone the panel takes up almost the whole screen, and leaving it open on top of the very thing you opened it for makes no sense.
What you can do from a phone
Almost everything. From mobile you can build a wall, style it, patch it across ports, export files, create a public link and work with your account. The sections below cover each part:
- "The editor on a phone" — canvas, toolbar, gestures, the screen panel;
- "Patching and export on a phone" — both modes and how they differ;
- "Your account on a phone" — projects, catalogue, settings.
Phone and computer, line by line
The table answers one question: can I do this from a phone? The difference is almost always WHERE the tool lives, not whether it exists:
| What you do | On a computer | On a phone |
|---|---|---|
| Build a screen out of cabinets | The form in the left column, always visible | The same form — the "Add" button at the bottom |
| Move screens around the canvas | Mouse, drag | Finger, drag |
| Zoom and pan | Mouse wheel and the zoom slider | Two-finger pinch and drag |
| Select one screen | Click | Tap |
| Select several screens at once | Marquee or Shift+click | No — there is no touch gesture for a marquee |
| Align and mirror a group | The align block in the left column | No — it acts on several selected screens |
| Screen name, colour, coordinates | The right column, always visible | The same panel — the "Settings" button at the bottom |
| Patterns and plates | The right column | Tabs inside that same panel |
| Change the cabinet model and rebuild the grid | The "Edit" button in the screen panel | No — that is trying options out, big-screen work |
| Undo, redo, monochrome, clusters, snapping | The toolbar above the canvas | The same toolbar, as icons |
| Patching across ports | Patch Mode | The same — the "Card" button at the bottom |
| Exporting files and ZIP | Export mode | The same — the "Formats" and "Export" buttons |
| A public link to the project | The form in export mode | The same form, in the formats panel |
| Save, open, create a project | The left column | The "Menu" button at the bottom |
| The account area as a whole | Two columns: the list and the form | The list, with the form in the "Details" panel |
| Wall totals (cabinets, weight, power) | The stats line under the canvas | Hidden — the canvas takes the room; the numbers are in the export and the spec sheet |
What is not on a phone
Some tools are deliberately hidden on a narrow screen — not because they are broken, but because they need the precision of a mouse or room the phone does not have.
| What is missing | Why, and what replaces it |
|---|---|
| Marquee selection (several screens at once) | There is no touch gesture for it at all. That is also why align and mirror are hidden — they act on several selected screens. |
| The zoom slider | Replaced by a two-finger pinch — more precise and always at hand. |
| Changing the cabinet model and rebuilding the grid (the "Edit" button in the screen panel) | That is big-screen work: trying options and comparing them. On a computer the button is where it was. |
| The card strip above the canvas | Moved inside the panel: the add-screen form in the normal mode, the cabinet grid in CUSTOM mode. |
A project built on a phone is no different from one built on a computer: the same data in the same database. The limits are about input tools, not about the result.
When to sit down at a computer
A phone is good for showing a project to a client, fixing a screen name, recalculating a layout on site or sending a link. Long work — assembling a wall out of a dozen screens, detailed patching, trying patterns one by one — is easier on a big screen, where every panel is visible at once.
