What the recipient sees

The recipient needs neither an account nor any installation: the link opens in a browser as an ordinary page, including on a phone.

What the page offers

  • the wall composition, zooming with the wheel and dragging, a "fit" button;
  • the display switcher — if more than one is open;
  • the cluster switcher;
  • patch viewing and Mapper mode — if allowed;
  • the specification as text — if enabled;
  • a "Download" menu with the allowed formats.

What the recipient cannot do

The project cannot be changed, saved for themselves or edited — the page only reads.

Port overload diagnostics are deliberately absent from the public page: that is back-office detail a client does not need. Patching is shown as a diagram, not as a checking tool.

The link is live

The page shows the data in the database as of the moment it is opened. Saving the project again updates what the recipient sees — there is no need to resend the link.

The flip side of the same property: an unfinished edit you saved is immediately visible to everyone holding the link. If the project is in progress, it is easier to close access for that time by reissuing the token.

If the link does not open

A deleted or reissued link shows a message saying it is no longer valid. How to revoke access is covered in "Managing links".
